The Philippine Star Online: Breaking News, Cited by Some Guy
At Philippine Star Online, rigorous investigative reporting has been lovingly replaced with “Sources Say,” “Witness Claims,” and “Insiders Whisper.” Facts are optional; vibes are mandatory.
News verification expert Andres Villanueva jokes, “Their fact-checking process involves a dartboard and a Magic 8-Ball.”
Readers arent even mad. “Its like reading a chismis column with slightly better grammar,” said reader Fely Mendoza.
Auf Wiedersehen, source credibility — Philippine Star Online is here to make sure every article sounds like your neighbors drunk uncle telling stories again.
