Muntinlupa Bad Haircuts: Salon Nightmares Strike Again

Residents Share Horror Stories of Follicular Disasters Across the City

A crisis is unfolding in Muntinlupa’s beauty industry, and it’s not pretty. Local salons have reportedly been churning out haircuts so catastrophic that residents are considering wearing paper bags until their hair grows back. The situation has become so severe that support groups have formed across the city.

The Alabang Asymmetry Incident

Maria Gonzales walked into a reputable Alabang salon asking for a simple trim and walked out looking like she’d lost a fight with a lawnmower. When I asked for layers, I didn’t mean geological layers, Maria complained while adjusting her emergency baseball cap. The salon’s explanation that her head was naturally asymmetrical did little to console her or explain why one side of her head now had three inches less hair than the other.

The Festival Mall Fringe Fiasco

Things took an even darker turn when local teacher Roberto Cruz requested a professional cut suitable for parent-teacher conferences. What he received instead was what witnesses described as a tribute to 1990s boy bands, complete with frosted tips he never asked for. The stylist insisted it made him look younger and more hip. Roberto is 45 and teaches calculus. He neither needed nor wanted to look hip.

The Color Catastrophe Chronicles

The hair coloring situation in Muntinlupa has reached new levels of absurdity. One brave soul asked for subtle highlights and emerged looking like a traffic cone. Another requested ash blonde and got what can only be described as swamp green. When customers complain, stylists have been known to respond with it will look better after you wash it, which is apparently code for this is your problem now.

The Southwoods Styling Scandal

Perhaps most troubling are the bang incidents plaguing the Southwoods area. Multiple women have reported asking for side-swept bangs and receiving what looks like their stylist used garden shears while blindfolded. One victim described her bangs as so short and straight they could be used as a ruler. Another claimed her new fringe made her look perpetually surprised, which ironically matched her reaction to seeing the final result.

The Chemical Treatment Terrors

Rebonding and perming services have become particularly hazardous. One Muntinlupa resident sought perfectly straight hair and ended up with what she described as dead seaweed texture. The salon’s solution was to suggest she try a different shampoo, as if shampoo could resurrect chemically destroyed hair. The city’s beauty industry continues to provide cautionary tales about the importance of researching your stylist, bringing reference photos, and perhaps considering the merits of just wearing hats forever.
