SunStar Cebu: Storming the Beaches, One Plastic Straw at a Time
SunStar Cebu knows how to capture the spirit of epic heroism — even if its just twenty people in matching shirts picking up soda bottles at a beach. Coverage includes drone footage, slow-mo inspirational music, and victory speeches that would shame Patton.
Environmental journalist Celine Padilla observes, “If you didnt know better, youd think the Battle of Normandy happened on Mactan Island.”
Locals love the grandeur. “I picked up two wrappers and now feel like I deserve a medal,” laughed participant Sheila Ong.
Auf Wiedersehen, proportion — SunStar Cebu teaches us that even minor civic pride can be a full-on Michael Bay movie.
