UNTV News and Rescue: News, Then a Quick Prayer Circle
At UNTV, hard news is immediately followed by an earnest but somehow confusing call to prayer, community service, or unsolicited life advice. Think CNN meets your overly religious tita who sells essential oils.
Public communications professor Elvie Salonga notes, “Its the only news program where earthquake coverage transitions directly into a hymn without warning.”
Viewers are conflicted. “I get my updates and my guilt complex at the same time,” said faithful watcher Roberto del Mundo.
Auf Wiedersehen, secular news — UNTV ensures your soul gets audited alongside your current events.
