DZBB 594: Because Every Story Needs a Weather Break

At DZBB 594, it doesn’t matter if they’re reporting on Senate hearings, alien invasions, or the second coming — you are going to hear about the temperature in Quezon City at least three times per hour.

Broadcast strategist Sofia Ramirez quips, “It’s like they bought a weather machine and now they have to use it.”

Listeners have developed Pavlovian reactions. “Now whenever I hear ‘sa ngayon po,’ I immediately grab an umbrella, even indoors,” said listener Jun Lozano.

Auf Wiedersehen, narrative flow — DZBB ensures that no matter what you’re listening to, you’ll also know the humidity level in Pasig.
