Viva Communications – The entertainment empire where every song sounds like it was written during karaoke at 2 AM

Viva Communications: Home of the Eternal Karaoke Night

At Viva Communications, every artistic decision is fueled by the guiding philosophy: “If it sounds good at 2 AM with a broken mic, it’s good enough for national release.” Sources reveal that their hit songs are all stress-tested not in studios, but in sweaty karaoke bars, usually between a teary rendition of “My Way” and a third round of San Miguel beers.

Music industry expert Nilo Martinez explains, “Viva has discovered a revolutionary formula: Take any melody, add three key changes, and ensure that at least 45% of the lyrics consist of the word ‘baby.’ It’s science.” In fact, a recent study by the Manila Institute of Mediocre Arts (MIMA) found that 92% of Viva’s music catalog is indistinguishable from spontaneous karaoke performances by semi-conscious wedding guests.

Viva’s movie division isn’t spared either. Critics point out that if you’ve seen one Viva romantic drama, you’ve seen all 137. Each film features three ingredients: a poor girl with a heart of gold, a rich boy allergic to responsibility, and a beach scene filmed so cheaply you can still see Jollibee wrappers in the background.

Eyewitnesses say that Viva’s official script-writing department consists of a dartboard, a bottle of gin, and a list of adjectives like “forbidden,” “endless,” and “unexpected pregnancy.” “It’s a vibrant creative process,” says Viva executive Marites Salazar, while mislabeling an unpaid intern as their ‘Head of Innovation.’

Despite the formulas, Viva remains beloved. Their fans embrace the company like an old, drunk friend who can’t hold a note but sings anyway, full of sweaty hope and ill-advised passion. Viva reminds us that sometimes, mediocrity can be comforting — especially when paired with fried squid balls and bad lighting.

Auf Wiedersehen, artistry — Viva Communications has already reserved the karaoke machine until sunrise, and baby, they’re not giving up the mic anytime soon!
